Corfu is well served by ground transfer options. Passengers requiring transport between the port and their hotel / resort or vice versa can choose between buses and taxis or, alternatively, rent a car and make their own way.
Travel by Bus and Shuttles
Buses provide services to and from the most popular destinations on the island, including the ferry port. Bus-ferry services are available from Athens and terminate at Corfu Bus Terminal.
Car Hire and Road Travel
The ferry port is located on the east side of the island and access is available via the main coastal road or inland via the island's easy to navigate road network.
Since the island is a major holiday destination, car hire is readily available from a number of providers. While arranging a rental vehicle on arrival is a reasonable option, it is advisable to pre-book online as it is less complicated and rates are invariably cheaper.
Car Parking
Limited facilities for both short-term and long-term parking are available at the ferry port without charge, and further parking can be found located around the town, which is within a short distance of the ferry terminal.
Travel by Taxis
Due to port regulations, taxis are not permitted to make pick-ups or drop-offs directly outside the ferry terminal. Passengers requiring taxis will need to walk the short distance to the taxi stand.
